PERC brings together the latest clinical trial opportunities for patients and physicians, as well as, serving as a Trial Management Organization meeting the needs of both industry and physician investigators. During a recent presentation at which I was a speaking, I asked all of the members of the audience to stand. I then asked anyone to sit down if someone they knew had ever received a drug eluting stent, a pacemaker, or a lipid lowering drug. One by one, individuals sat down, and within moments, only a handful of people were left standing. Those left standing were the lucky ones. I told the rest of the seated audience that they have a research patient to thank. This event continues to give clarity to PERC’s mission. As a PERC employee for over 19 years, I am always amazed by the fluidity of our business. Truly, if you dream it, it can happen.
