Cynthia L. Deitrick, M.S., M.B.A. is the Chief Operating Officer of Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Cyndi received her M.B.A. from Benedictine University in Springfield, Illinois and her M.S. from Eastern Illinois University. She is a member of Toast Masters International, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and Illinois Women in Leadership. Cyndi is actively committed to clinical research and has chosen to focus on emphasizing the importance of education and communication for physician and patient relations. She has been published as an author and co-author of several articles in scientific journals, most recently in Clinical Chemistry, with the intent of contributing to c
ardiovascular science and healthcare.
Paullette Sullivan
Paulette M. Sullivan, RN, BSN, CCRC is Manager of Clinical Affairs at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Paulette earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s College School of Nursing, Springfield, IL. She is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, through which she maintains her Clinical Research Coordinator certification. Paulette has over 10 years of cardiovascular research experience involving clinical research coordination, project management and multicenter trial management. Her more recent experiences involve multicenter trial management for device trials involving the lower limb and renal arteries. Paulette also contributed to an abstract published in American Heart Journal, which focused on a study involving elective percutaneous coronary intervention.
Janiece Rutherford
Janiece M. Rutherford, RN, BS, CCRC is Manager of SynvaCor, a core laboratory dedicated to the merging of peripheral clinical trial goals with validated results in order to advance the field of peripheral arterial disease research, at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Janiece received her Diploma of Nursing from St. John’s School of Nursing, her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management at Robert Morris University, and is currently pursuing her MBA through Robert Morris University in Springfield, Illinois. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, and NIH Stroke Scale Certified through the American Heart Association. Janiece’s extensive medical research experience has most recently involved the evaluation of renal ablation in research patients with uncontrolled hypertension. She has been published four times for her research efforts, including an abstract in the American Journal of Cardiology and manuscripts in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions.
Stacy A. Budrean, B.S.
Stacy A. Budrean, B.S. is currently the Quality Assurance/Compliance Manager at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Stacy received her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University. To further her education, she has recently completed a CITI Biomedical Research Refresher Course, an ISO 9001:2000 & Auditor Training Course, and a Report Writer Webinar. Stacy is a member of The American Society for Quality, and a former member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. She has been published several times in Clinical Chemistry, most recently for studies involving the analysis of amino acids with the use of specific equipment and the atherogenic index of plasma.
Sadie Samson, RN, BSN
Sadie Samson, RN, BSN is a Clinical Research Supervisor at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Sadie earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University, and currently holds an Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License. She is also an ACLS Provider, as well as a BLS for Healthcare Provider. Sadie’s clinical research trial experience most recently includes studies involving clinical effectiveness of specific treatments in heart failure patients; results measurement of biventricular Pacing vs. optimal medical therapy alone; carotid revascularization endarterectomy vs. stenting; asymptomatic carotid stenosis; and adverse reactions among patients who receive specific IV contrasts in routine medical practice.
Nick Clark, MCSE
Nick Clark, MCSE is Manager of Information Technology at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative. Nick graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, and is now working toward his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at University of Phoenix. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and maintains competencies in over 30 technology systems. Nick is affiliated with St. John’s Hospital, Memorial Medical Center, and Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd., and provides technology design and support for three clinical research trials.
